The Arrival
Verse 1:
Make straight the way, as the angels announce,
The arrival of the Savior in the manger, they shout,
And praise the Father for His plan of redemption.
Isaiah 53 soon to be in fruition. Listen.
It was no ordinary birth that night,
Itʼs the incarnation of the Author of Life.
The Ancient of Days, the second person of the Trinity,
Was emerging on the stage to fulfill the mission He…
Agreed to complete, way back in eternity [past],
Before the foundation of the world, and He certainly,
Knew the grisly end He would meet,
So He could sprinkle His own blood on that Mercy Seat.
So the Father bound up the Son inside of a seed,
And the Spirit moved & placed Him in the womb of a teen,
Iʼm talking uncontainable glory, confined to a fetus,
He shall be called Immanuel, His Majesty, Jesus.

My soul magnifies the Lord And my spirit rejoices
Let us glorify the King as we lift up our voices
The Word became flesh, but if you miss this
You miss the real reason why we celebrate Christmas (2x)

A virgin By the Holy Spirit gave birth when
There was no place in the inn without a reservation
The location, in the city of David
Where the Word became flesh already feeling the hatred
Seems like an atrocity, but peep the dichotomy
Heʼs born in a feeding trough and still ruling sovereignly
The star in the sky brought wise men to this guy
And Heʼs the nations High Priest Not from the tribe of Levi
He came to save those, who were in imminent danger
He was born in a manger, but to earth, Heʼs no stranger
Even had his forerunner leaping in the womb
Make straight the way of the Lord cause the King is on the move
He took the form of a man knowing He would be trampled
His birth being a sample of His humble example
He was born for one purpose so that He could be bruised

Like ʻtis the season for shopping & gift exchange,
No, itʼs the time to worship God for the gift that came,
And stand in awe at His mercy and infinite grace!
How did we get focused on bells that jingle?
Exchanging the glory of Jesus for that dude Chris Cringle…
Weʼre sinful, and its just that simple
Cause the greatest gift of all canʼt be bought in a mall
This is not about reindeer, jingling bells, or sleigh rides,
Ornaments, pine trees, mistletoe, or colored lights.
This is God coming to our level to evangelize,
And hang the Light of the World on His tree, as a sacrifice.
Your name being on a list is why you behave?
Cause youʼre focused on what you get instead of who the Father gave,
His Son, who hung on a tree? Thatʼs obscene
Godʼs personal ornament but the tree wasnʼt green
