Today (August 17th) would’ve been my dad’s 58th birthday. Last January, the Lord delivered him from his withered body of death, & ushered him into His presence. Every year, about this time, I’m reminded of what the Holy Spirit said thru Peter, when he echoed Isaiah:

“All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower fades, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” – 1 Peter 1:24-25

Life is a vapor.

Even more fleeting than breath, is the music we make. Genres & trends come & go, personal preferences change, & we become bored with beats. Hip hop has a very short shelf-life. But God’s Word remains true, relevant, & powerful… yesterday, today, & forever!

In the scope of eternity, this life is but a mist, even more so, is this project. However, we will spend eternity worshipping the Almighty God, who delivered us from His looming judgement through the death & resurrection of His Son. But until the day we are made perfectly into His image, He has enabled us, by His grace, to sing His praise & offer up vapors of worship from this life. Such grace!

That’s the heart behind “Vapors: Volume 1″, the first installment of an ongoing series of free music presented by iSix:5. Our prayer is that you will be encouraged, for a season, by the truth of God’s Word, conveyed through the lens of hip hop. Grace and Peace!

He too was tempted, & yet remained perfectly Holy, & obedient unto the Father. He ever lives to intercede on our behalf, that we might flee temptation, & He Himself provides the way of escape.

Yahweh is God alone, & He will not share His glory with another! In His wisdom, He has placed Man over the works of His hands, & while sinful men and women seek in vain, to usurp His throne, He remains Holy, whether showing mercy, or executing judgement.

There is none like Him! He who was, and is, and is to come; the Almighty!
